Beachy Head rescue for overboard fishing boat crewman
A man who fell over the side of a fishing boat off the East Sussex coast has been airlifted to hospital.
The Eastbourne lifeboat and a helicopter were sent to search for the crew member of the Dutch vessel off Beachy Head on Thursday night.
When they arrived at the scene at about 21:30 GMT they found he had already been pulled from the water.
Rescuers said he had been in the sea for some time, and had suffered an injury to his ankle.
